Rally has now finished

The Police loved their new toy with a great big tractor dressed up in Police Colours.

What a way to undo a Rally with a Rolls Royce pulling a trailer to enable the fence panels to be taken down!

1 Day to go

Well just one day left now to put the finishing touches to Rally ready for the weekend.

The food stands have started and arrive and the fun fare is set up too and more importantly the beer has arrived in good time for it to clear.

The Trade Stands have also started arriving

But the thing I like most that arrived today is the Thames Valley Police Tractor including its blue flashing lights!

You can see what great weather we've had today and hopefully this will continue over the weekend so that we can all enjoy a fantastic weekend of family fun and entertainment.

2 Days to go

Things are now progressing very well with almost everthing done regarding the field set up. We've still got two full days left for the set up before the Rally starts and there's not a lot left to be done now apart from all the exhibitors arriving and the public coming to see what's on offer.

There will always be something we remember at the last minute that we hadn't thought of or we are told to do by South Oxfordshire Council officials when they inspect us on Friday afternoon prior to our opening (and without their agreement we not allowed to open).

I will be doing a live Radio Broadcast on BBC Radio Berkshire (104.1 or 94.5 FM) at around 11:15 on Friday morning to update the Rally details.

More of the fun fare has now arrived and is being set up ready for this Friday night's Village opening at 18:00 hrs.

The Tractor Boys are busy setting up the final part of their area for their working display but we understand there could be a competition for this space available between the working tractors and the working steam. My guess is that if it comes to full time warfare then the steam will outweigh the tractors big time but then maybe the tractors are slightly more manoeuvrable and may be be able to dodge out of their way.

But at long last those lovely, old steam engines have started to arrive. Where would we be without them! Tractors watch your space!

3 Days to go

Things continue to progress with the Rally setup. The fun fare has arrived as have the marquees for the craft tent and beer tent - all we need now is the beer!
