2019 Rally Field Setup

SCROLL

The volunteers have been working extremely hard the past few days and have done wonders on the Rally field!

Most of the marking out and fencing is now complete, the craft marquee and beer tent are already up, the fairground is beginning to be set up, and the road signs etc. are beginning to be put out. What a fantastic effort!

There’s still plenty more to do and volunteers are always welcome to help spread the workload. Morning sessions start around 9am, and for those not yet retired, evening sessions start at 6pm. The more the merrier, and all help will be very gratefully received.

More updates to come over the coming days as we count down to the start of this year’s Rally!

10th July

After another day/evening’s hard work the volunteers have made more good progress on the Rally field. The all important generators are in place for the stage and craft marquee. Even more important for all of us beer drinkers is the welcome sight of the loos around the field. The secretary’s tent is up and ready, and more signage has gone up around the fencing and main arena.

The National Vintage Tractor and Engine Club have made themselves at home at the top of the field, with a number of tractors already on the field ready for the weekend.

It’s great to see everything coming together, with smiling faces all round!

11th July

The field’s really beginning to take shape now, with more of the food vendors setting up, and some of the traders getting their pitches up and ready for a busy weekend.

The area around the stage will be set up by the end of the evening and – something I’m sure you’re all keen to hear – the beer tent is being stocked up by the wonderful CAMRA folk!

Tomorrow will no doubt be a busy day of final preparations and more exhibitors arriving throughout the day and evening.

I don’t know about you but I can’t wait for the weekend to be here!!

Do you have plenty of toilets at different corners of each field? Are some designated for disabled users only so as to avoid queues?

Hi. There are plenty of toilets around the Rally field. I’m not sure if any are specifically disabled but I’ve not seen any issues with queues.
